Entry 004

Would this be the first time I'd do some fangirling? Would you let me do it?
Ah well, I'll do it anyway.

Umineko no naku koro ni. When seagulls cry.

A family convention in an island. A typhoon. A series of murders committed in disturbing circumstances. Who is the murderer? There are 18 people on the island - or are there? Is the murderer one of the 18 - or a witch? Is the witch a witch at all?
This is the target of my current obsession. Briefly said.

I was introduced to this one about three years ago when the anime came out. I watched it through and thought it was ok. Then, some time later, I discovered the originals. The sound novels.
I. Was. Stunned.
For a doujinshi sound novel it was absolutely amazing. It's a perfect combination of detective stories and fantasy - a true battle between those two genres, Battler in the detective story side and Beatrice in the fantasy side. I fell in love with the music pieces, the athmosphere, the story and the characters. Ok, the art is a bit crappy, but to me it didn't really matter.
And i just love the character development, especially in case of both Beatrice and Battler. The God-Damn Battler from EP6 on... Y U SO AWSUM I WANNA TAKE YOU HOOOOME~
Ok. End of fangirling.

This summer, I'm going to do some cosplaying. One of the characters will be Furfur from Umineko EP6 (and EP7). Furfur is a demon of love with Zepar, and they always appear together when summoned. Me and my Zepar will have some goooood time.
Oh, and they are of opposite genders. You sure can see which is which.

Anyway.

These costumes need some time. What we already have is all the fabrics, base for both torsos, shoes, Zepar's berret and hair, Furfur's socks, Zepar's stripy sock and those stripy insides of Zepar's bottom.

We also have Zepar's other sock and one of Furfur's gloves in progress.

I guess I'll have to use my own hair with this. I just hope it's not too red-red. That's a bit more... Orange-red.

Entry 003

For once I was the one to find something... WONDERFUL.

In my neighbour lives a family of five, all the children are boys younger than me. Even the eldest son is three years younger.
When I was still in elementary school, every one of these boys had their own Game Boy Color consoles. AND they had Pokémon to play with them. I had no consoles, so I just sat there and watched them play and wished I could too.

And now, after almost ten years, I find THIS.

You see that --Select A Game-- there? There are for example Pokémon games Red, Blue and Yellow. And of course many more.
OMFG, I can play them even without having the console itself! AAAAAAAA~

...well, I tried this yesterday. My computer was being a snail, so I didn't get any further than choosing names. Ah well, I'll try again someday later.
But this was a finding one of a kind. Thanks Tumblr! I love you! Even though you are sometimes VERY strange.

Entry 002

Start roleplaying, they said.
Become a Game Master, they said.
It'll be fun, they said.

It sure is fun, I admit. Until you realise the amount of planning required for each and every session.

I had my first proper Dungeons and Dragons -session as the GM a couple of weeks ago. It was a great success, but the lack of preparations made it a bit... interesting. I had to improvise almost every name that came across (apparently my imagination still works yayy), and my lovely and active five-player party didn't spend that much time on tasks I had planned beforehand, so I had to come up with something extra while waiting our classroom reservation time to expire. I didn't even give them any experience points because of the simple nature of the tasks (and therefore, myself).

What is this I don't even.

Yeah. Note to self: plan your sessions properly and ALWAYS ADD SOME EXTRA in case your players are faster than you expected.

Ah well. Now I should plan our next session. Luckily, I've got some ideas already (not gonna tell them here, my players might be reading)! Oh, and we should, or I should, decide when and where it will be.
I'm just hoping they all get it there, we haven't had a single session without someone missing... And they are so much fun that I just want to share the happiness with ALL of my wonderful players.

Second entry in two days... I don't think I'll be able to continue this kind of posting pace for long.

Entry 001

What would be better than doing something you love and seeming strange to outsiders - AND at the same time having only little knowledge of the area and looking like a clueless little being to insiders?

One day I got this idea of starting a blog about being the weird insider and the sane outsider at once, mostly based on the scenario described above: my everyday life.
Basically, my life is full of curious little things and people talking about and keeping busy with them. Most of the time I understand and am able to discuss them, but there are also some topics and sub-topics I'm not quite familiar with yet.
So, I'd like to share some of my thoughts of these things as a somewhat well-informed outsider while explaining about my doings as a somewhat novice insider :'D

What will I be writing about?
Mainly games, anime/manga, tropes, cosplay, maybe something else occasionally.
Currently, I don't have any gameplay consoles besides my computer and a PS2, which is in my little brother's room and which I rarely (read: never) get to use. All the gaming I do usually happens visiting my friends.
For example, I've been introduced to the Final Fantasy series by a friend of mine; she's been making me play FFX every time I visit her. We have a very good time each time! And I'm always a bit afraid of using Yuna's White Magic too often and reducing her MP too low too soon...

To tell something about this friend (won't be the last one introduced), I'll just drop this here for starters. This is the cute reaction I get to see every time she has been playing something that pleases her :3
